Nice mix of some quality South Africans and international names: Graeme Smith

After the conclusion of the SA20 2025 auction, the league commissioner Graeme Smith said the franchises have a mix of local and international stars, which would make the league competitive.

“I think all six teams look very strong. From a league perspective we want to see all six squads competitive. It’s a nice mix of some quality South Africans and superb international names that have joined us for season three,” Graeme Smith said.

“As a cricket competition, we want to see the South African players get stronger every year. We have seen the success of the IPL and the number of players that can be picked for India. I think we saw that progression last year with the likes of Ottneil Baartman. He had a great World Cup, and we are starting to see those types of players come through,” Smith added.
