SA20 2025 Auction: Squads of all teams after the auction

Reeza Hendricks was the costliest pick at the SA20 2025 auction, bought by MI Cape Town for Rand 4.3 million.

South African opener Reeza Hendricks was the most expensive player at the SA20 2025 auction, which was held on October 1 in Cape Town. Hendricks, who was released by Joburg Super Kings, was snapped up by MI Cape Town for a bumper price of  Rand 4.3 million.

The second-most expensive pick in the SA20 2025 auction was England pacer Richard Gleeson, who was roped in by defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape for Rand 2.3 million.

A total of 13 cricketers were sold in the SA20 2025 auction. Alongside the auction purchases, all six franchises also confirmed their rookie picks (South African players aged 22 or below). Further, all teams expect Joburg announced their wildcard picks.

Dinesh Karthik, who retired from Indian and international cricket in June, was Paarl Royals’ wildcard pick and will become the first Indian to feature in the SA20.
