SA20 2025 schedule announced: Tournament to begin on Jan 9, final on Feb 9 at Wanderers

Sunrisers Eastern Cape have won the 2023 and 2024 editions of the SA20 tournament.
On Monday, September 2, Cricket South Africa (CSA) announced the schedule of the next edition of the South Africa T20 League (SA20). The tournament will start on January 9, 2025 with a match between defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape (SEC) and Mumbai Indians Cape Town (MICT) at the St George’s Park.
The previous two editions of the tournament were won by Sunrisers Eastern Cape. In the 2023 edition, SEC defeated Pretoria Capitals in the final, whereas in 2024, they defeated Durban’s Super Giants in the final to clinch back-to-back titles.
SA20 2025 full schedule unveiled
A total of 34 matches will be played in the third season of the SA20. Each franchise will play 10 league stage matches. The top four teams will directly qualify for the playoffs. The playoffs will start from February 4, 2025.
The playoff matches are scheduled to be played at St George’s Park, Centurion, and Wanderers. The final will be played on February 8 at Wanderers, Johannesburg. A reserve day (Feb 9) has been allotted in case of any interruption on the actual match day.

A total of six venues have been allotted to host the third season of the SA20. St George’s Park, Kingsmead, Boland Park, The Wanderers Stadium, SuperSport Park and Newlands are the venues for the 2025 edition.
