"He’s very calm and composed.."- Sachin Tendulkar lavishes rich praise on Shubman Gill for his heroics in England

Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has lauded Indian Cricket Team test skipper Shubman Gill for his heroics in the ongoing test series against the England Cricket Team. He said that the young batter is batting brilliantly and that is complementing his captaincy as well.
Indian skipper Shubman Gill has been the best batter in the ongoing test series against England. The captaincy has suited him brilliantly and he has led from the front, helping his team win the second game of the series at Edgbaston in Birmingham.
Shubman Gill slammed a brilliant century in the first game in Leeds, scoring 147 runs. However, he took his game to the different level in the next game in Birmingham. The batter slammed a double ton in the first innings, hitting 269 runs.
If this was not enough, he then came up another century in the following innings. The batter hit 161 and is currently the leading run-getter in the series with 585 runs to his name from just two games. His leadership has been brilliant as well as the series is currently levelled at 1-1.

While talking about Shubman Gill, Sachin Tendulkar highlighted how the young batter has been calm and composed. Speaking to Star Sports, he said:
“He’s been good. He’s very calm and composed, and I strongly believe that how the rest of the 10 players also react to whatever decision he has taken has been measured decisions, well thought out. His batting is complementing that as well because if a captain is in good form, it makes a huge difference in decision making. You need to be in the right frame of mind to make those important calls. He’s been batting brilliantly.”
Sachin Tendulkar added that he is pretty impressed with the way Shubman Gill and the entire team have performed. He added:
“As an opposition, normally, you know they look to find weak areas in your batting. When your technique at this point has been remarkable. Whatever I have seen, it’s been special. I am very happy you know the way we came back in the series in the second Test match after that disappointment in the first Test match,”
