Sachin Tendulkar reacts after receiving Col CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award from the BCCI

Sachin Tendulkar was given Col CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award at BCCI Naman Awards 2024.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) hosted the BCCI Awards 2024 on Saturday, 1st February, 2025, in Mumbai to honor the exceptional achievements of individuals in Indian cricket in the last year.
Legendary former batter Sachin Tendulkar was awarded the Col. C. K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award. He is the 31st recipient of this honor, which was introduced in 1994 to celebrate India’s first captain, Col CK Nayudu.
Tendulkar played 664 international matches for India in his iconic career. The 51-year-old holds the record for most runs in both test and ODI cricket, with 15,921 and 18,426 runs respectively. He is also the only batsman to score 100 centuries in international cricket.
Tendulkar was also the first batsman to score a double century in men’s ODI cricket. He achieved this feat against South Africa in Gwalior in 2010, scoring 200 off 147 balls, including 25 fours and three sixes.
After receiving the award, he took to social media to express his gratitude.

Tendulkar wrote, “Deeply honoured to receive the Col. C. K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award. My cricketing journey, which spanned 24 years was never mine alone. It belonged to every coach’s guidance, every teammate’s trust, every fan’s unwavering support and my family’s belief, love and sacrifices.“
The Indian legend also shared that the award serves as a reminder for him to give back to the cricket community that has given him so much.
He added, “This award is a reminder to keep giving back to the sport and the people that gave me everything. To the BCCI and every cricket lover: thank you for letting me bat for India with an open heart and limitless boundaries.“
