[Watch] Sachin Tendulkar tries his hand at baseball and leaves fans awestruck
Sachin Tendulkar is currently in the US to attend ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
Sachin Tendulkar was centerstage as he showed off his baseball striking skills during an event for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 where he appeared along with Ravi Shastri.
The ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2024 has taken on an American flavor, with the United States co-hosting the tournament alongside the West Indies. It is a new experience for cricketers, as top teams have only just begun to play in North America.
Many former players have also visited the country for broadcasting purposes. So it was surprising to see Sachin Tendulkar, who had gone to the United States for India’s big match against Pakistan on Sunday.
Ahead of the match, the Indian superstar was spotted playing baseball with former teammate Ravi Shastri. Tendulkar demonstrated that he is equally skilled at baseball, displaying some stunning shots in front of a crowd.

They’ve all been exciting super exciting: Sachin Tendulkar on his experience of playing in India v Pakistan match
Tendulkar also commented on the impending India-Pakistan showdown, wishing both sides well. He also discussed his first World Cup experience versus Pakistan.
“India vs Pakistan has always been a big match, exhilarating. My first World Cup experience against Pakistan was way back in 1992 in Australia and from there all of the number of matches that we’ve played against each other, they’ve all been exciting super exciting. I know both the teams are well prepared to go out and give their best. When it comes to sharing, the best of luck that I have is a little more towards India,” Sachin told ICC.
India are in terrific form heading into the match, having gone unbeaten in their previous five T20I games. They overcame Ireland in their first tournament match. Meanwhile, Pakistan suffered a shock setback to the United States in their first match and has lost three of their last five games.
It would also be interesting to see how the New York pitch reacts after its surprising performance in India’s opener. Meanwhile, India have a 6-1 record against Pakistan in T20 World Cup history.
