Sairaj Bahutule to travel Sri Lanka as Indian Cricket Team's interim bowling coach - Reports

Sairaj Bahutule played two tests and eight ODIs for India between 1997-2003.
Former India spinner Sairaj Bahutule, who was associated with the National Cricket Academy (NCA), is all set to join the Indian cricket team as their interim bowling coach for the upcoming white-ball tour of Sri Lanka, according to reports.
India are all set to play three-match T20I series and three-match ODI series on their tour of Sri Lanka. The white-ball tour will begin on July 27 and conclude on August 7. T20Is will be played in Pallekele, while Colombo will host all three ODIs.
Bhautule will be India’s interim bowling coach in Sri Lanka tour
Earlier this month, BCCI secretary Jay Shah named former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir as the new head coach of the Men in Blue. Since becoming the new head coach, Gambhir is having difficulties selecting his coaching staff.
According to a latest report in Cricbuzz, former South African pacer Morne Morkel, who is the front-runner of becoming the new bowling coach for the for the Indian cricket team, will not travel with the squad to Sri Lanka.
The report further added that Sairaj Bahutule will serve as the interim bowling coach for the white-ball tour of Sri Lanka.
The Cricbuzz report also claimed that Bahutule will join the Gambhir-led coaching staff, which includes Abhishek Nayar and Ryan ten Doeschate as assistant coaches.
Morne Morkel is unavailable to join Team India for the Sri Lanka series
The Cricbuzz report further added that the Indian management is thinking of including Morne Morkel as the bowling coach, but the former South African seamer is unavailable to join the squad for the upcoming Sri Lanka series due to personal reasons.
It is understood that Morkel, who lives in Sydney, has travelled to Pretoria to attend to his father, who is unwell. Following the white-ball tour of Sri Lanka, Morkel may officially get announced as India’s bowling coach.
