Former Indian captain and head coach Rahul Dravid‘s son, Samit Dravid, has grabbed the spotlight with his performances at the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2026. The tournament, a local T20 league in Karnataka, is witnessing a battle among six teams for the title.
Samit Dravid is part of Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters in the tournament, and Shubhang Hegde is the captain. Samit is a key middle-order batsman for the side. The right-handed batsman rocked the field with his batting heroics in the clash against Hubli Tigers on July 1 at KSCA Hubli Cricket Ground.
In the away match, Bengaluru Blasters piled up a mammoth 203/7 in the first innings and later won the clash by two runs in a close-fought battle. Opener Rohan Patil (64) set the platform for the team’s big total with his half-century, while Praveen Dubey (51) was another batter to score a fifty.
Samit played a crucial role in the middle with the bat, scoring a quickfire 32 runs off 23 deliveries with six fours. His impressive batting skills and ability to overpower opposition bowlers with ease reminded many viewers of his father and legendary batter Rahul Dravid.
