BREAKING NEWS: Sarfaraz Khan replaces THIS injured player in India squad for SL vs IND Tests

Sarfaraz Khan last played for India in Tests in 2024.
In what has been the latest development, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced replacement of Sai Sudharsan for SL vs IND Test series. The left-hander has been ruled out of the series due to toe injury.
In his absence, Sarfaraz Khan has been named as replacement. Releasing the official statement, the BCCI stated:
“Sai Sudharsan has been ruled out of the Test series against Sri Lanka. The left-handed batter, who has been at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru, has made significant progress in his recovery from the right toe stress reaction and is recovering well. The BCCI Medical Team is closely monitoring his progress.
“The Men’s Selection Committee has named Sarfaraz Khan as a replacement for Sai Sudharsan for the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka.”
