Sarfaraz Khan slams century in just 76 balls in intra-squad game
One of the performances that caught the attention of many came from Sarfaraz Khan. The India A batter, as per various media reports, slammed a brutal century in just 76 balls to go with 15 boundaries and two sixes at the Kent County Cricket Ground.
Sarfaraz Khan’s ton came against the bowling attack of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Prasidh Krishna, who are likely to play the first test against England. He was the standout performer from India A, while the rest of the batters failed to make a mark.
Sarfaraz Khan slamming century against India comes as a strong message for selectors as well as team management. This is because he hasn’t been included in the squad for the test series against England. He was amongst the notable omissions from the team, along with Shreyas Iyer, who didn’t make the cut into the team despite consistent performances in domestic circuit.
Sarfaraz Khan also played a brilliant innings of 93 runs in the first unofficial test between India A and England Lions. With the kind of performances that he has displayed, it won’t be a surprise if team management includes him in the main squad.
