Shaheen Afridi’s wife has given birth to a son during the PAK vs BAN 1st test match.

Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Afridi became a father for the first time during the ongoing test match against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi.

While the left-arm speedster is playing against Bangladesh at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, his wife Ansha Afridi gave birth to a baby boy on Saturday.

According to Pakistani sports journalist Qadir Khawaja, the name of Shaheen Afridi’s son is Aliyar.

During Bangladesh’s first innings, Shaheen took two wickets. After dismissing tailender Hasan Mahmud, the left-arm speedster did the famous baby celebration to dedicate the wicket to his newborn son, Aliyar.

Afridi angled a length delivery across the right-handed Hasan Mahmud, who had a wild swipe at the delivery but managed only a thick outside edge that was taken by wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan.

The umpire gave the batsman out and Shaheen turned around and did the baby celebration.

Talking about the match, Bangladesh ended their first innings with a crucial lead of 117 runs. Their innings was ended in the third session on day four.

Veteran Mushfiqur Rahim played one of the best knocks of his career as he scored 191 runs off 341 balls to tire out the Pakistani bowlers. Shadman Islam, the opener, scored 93 runs, while Liton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz contributed with important half-centuries.

If Bangladesh can bowl Pakistan out by the second session on day five, they might push for a first-ever test match win over Pakistan.
