"Don't have many plans.." Shakib Al Hasan tight-lipped about his participation in upcoming tour of India

Shakib Al Hasan managed to score 111 runs and take three wickets in the recently concluded T20 World Cup.
Veteran Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is unsure about his participation in the upcoming tour of India, which will be played from September 19 to October 12. The Bangladesh cricket team are scheduled to play a two-match test series and a three-match ODI series in India.
Ahead of the high-voltage India series, the Bangladesh cricket team are likely to play a two-match test series against Pakistan towards the end of August. However, the dates are yet to be finalized by the two cricket boards. According to the proposed schedule, Karachi and Rawalpindi will host the two games.
The 37-year-old Shakib had a poor run with both the bat and ball in the recently concluded ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Shakib averaged only 18.50 with the bat and took just three wickets in seven matches.
The Bangladesh cricket team had a good run in the group stage of the T20 World Cup 2024 after they finished second in their respective group. However, they had a horrific Super 8 stage where they lost all three matches and were eliminated from the global event.
Don’t have many plans, there are two T20 tournaments: Shakib Al Hasan
The 37-year-old Bangladesh cricketer, who left Dhaka for the USA on July 1 to play the upcoming Major League tournament for the Los Angeles Knight Riders, said that he doesn’t have many plans as there are two T20 tournaments in front of him.
“I don’t have many plans. There are two T20 tournaments in front of me one is MLC and the other one is the Global T20 League in Canada and let me see where I stand after playing these two tournaments because I need to understand [how I feel],” Shakib told reporters at the Airport on Tuesday before departing for the USA.
Shakib further added that he is planning about the Pakistan series and is not thinking too far ahead at this point in time. However, he remained tight-lipped about the upcoming India tour in September.
“There is international cricket and there is a series against Pakistan and I am planning till that point of time and not planning beyond that. Now I don’t have time to plan for three four years and so planning for three to six months is better and later will think about my next plan and so till now I am planning till the Pakistan series,” he added.
