Shashank Singh took wicket of Josh Inglis in the LSG vs PBKS clash of IPL 2026.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are up against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in their last league game of Indian Premier League 2026. The clash between the two sides is taking place at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

Punjab Kings won the toss and opted to field first in what is a must-win clash for them in IPL 2026. They need to win at any cost to keep themselves alive in the race for the playoffs. A defeat here would eliminate them from the tournament as they have only themselves to blame because of their poor performances in the last six games.

In a must-win game, PBKS came up with a decent bowling effort. Their gamble to bowl Shashank Singh also paid off as the all-rounder removed LSG opener Josh Inglis, who was going great guns with the bat and hammered 72 runs off 44 balls at a strike rate of over 163.

However, just after completing his third over, Shashank left the field immediately. He felt discomfort in his hamstring. This comes as a massive blow for PBKS as they are fighting for a place in the playoffs and also the fact that he has been in great form, his absence will leave a massive void if the injury appears to be serious.

Shashank has been dealing with his hamstring in IPL 2026. Earlier, in the tournament, he missed a few games due to the same reason. PBKS management would be hoping that the injury isn’t serious as he will be key for his team if they go ahead in the tournament.

Coming to the LSG vs PBKS clash, Lucknow didn’t have a decent outing in the game. Inglis top-scored for them while Ayush Badoni (43) and Abdul Samad (37*) also played their part as LSG posted a total of 196 for six. They have been eliminated from the tournament and would be hoping to end the season on a high note.
