In recent years, Shivam Dube has made significant strides in his game and has set his sights on representing the Indian national cricket team once again, since his last appearance in February 2020. Like any other cricketer, Dube has a strong desire to be selected for the Indian squad in the upcoming World Cup.

Dube Confident of Making Team, Not Worried About Competition

During a special interview with MyKhel, Shivam Dube dismissed inquiries regarding his competition with Hardik Pandya and Vijay Shankar for a position. He confidently asserted that he views himself as his sole competitor.

"Yes. Of course (eyeing a place in India's World Cup squad). Every player wants to play in a World Cup, more so when it's happening in India. But I can only focus on my own performances, rest is up to the selectors," Dube, who is brand ambassador of Parimatch Sports, told MyKhel.

"No. I am my only competition. I don't look at other players. I train every day to become better than I was the day before," he said on being asked if he takes Hardik Pandya and Vijay Shankar as his competitors.
