Shivam Dube made his ODI debut against the West Indies in Chennai in 2019.
Indian all-rounder Shivam Dube got his maiden ODI wicket during the first match of the three-match ODI series against hosts Sri Lanka at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on August 2. He dismissed Sri Lanka batter Kusal Mendis for 14 runs off 31 deliveries.
After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Sri Lanka had a poor start as they lost opener Avishka Fernando in the third over of the match. Indian speedster Mohammed Siraj removed Fernando for only one run. The hosts were 37-1 at the 10-over mark.

The incident happened during the 14th over of Sri Lanka’s innings. Dube provided the visitors with a crucial breakthrough of Kusal Mendis on the first delivery of the 14th over.
The right-arm medium pacer Dube bowled a good-length delivery which angled in and straightened upon pitching. Mendis moved forward and played a defensive stroke but was beaten on the outside edge. The ball struck on the back pad, and the umpire raised his finger.
Mendis discussed with his fellow partner and decided to challenge the on-field decision of the umpire with a DRS. Replays showed that the ball was hitting the top of the middle stump, and the third umpire gave marching orders to Mendis.

At the time of writing Sri Lanka are struggling at 101/5 after 27 overs.
