The England Cricket Team have faced a massive blow ahead of the fourth test of the five-match test series against the Indian Cricket Team as their pinner Shoaib Bashir has been ruled out of the remaining two games of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025.
England were dealt with a massive blow in third test of the series against India at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. On third day of the game, Shoaib Bashir picked up a finger injury as he attempted to stop the ball off his bowling.
Shoaib Bashir was out of the field after that blow for the majority of the game. But he returned to bat in the second innings, scoring two runs off nine balls. He even bowled in the second innings but his non-bowling hand was heavily strapped.
However, he played a major role in England winning the game. Shoaib Bashir took the final wicket of India’s innings as his team went on to win the game by 22 runs. With this, they also earned a 2-1 lead in the series and will be going into the fourth game on a high.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is expected to announce a replacement for Bashir in the next few days. It is expected that one of Jack Leach or Liam Dawson will be there in the mix for the fourth game, which will be played at Old Trafford in Manchester from July 23.
England won the Lord’s test by 22 runs

Coming to the Lord’s test, both England and India came up with a rock-solid effort and left no stone unturned in winning the game. However, it was the Ben Stokes-led side that put in a great performance in the end to win the game by a small margin of 22 runs.
The last day of the game was nothing less than a blockbuster. India needed 135 runs to win and they had a poor start, losing four wickets in the first session. However, Ravindra Jadeja (61*), Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj took the game to the last session, but an unfortunate dismissal of Siraj in the end saw India lose the game.
