Shreyas Iyer is the captain of Sobo Mumbai Falcons in T20 Mumbai 2025.

After completing his role as skipper of Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Shreyas Iyer is currently busy with the franchise league T20 Mumbai 2025. He is the captain of The Sobo Mumbai Falcons in the tournament.

A total of eight local teams from Mumbai are part of the tournament. Iyer’s SoBo Mumbai Falcons have played four matches in the tournament, winning three games and losing one match. With six points, they grab the third spot in the points table.

On Saturday, SoBo Mumbai Falcons lost their first encounter of the league against Eagle Thane Strikers. The Shreyas Iyer-led side lost the match by 36 runs after failing to chase down a 152-run target. The skipper scored the most 25 runs for the side as they got bowled out for just 115 runs.

Despite the defeat, the SoBo Mumbai Falcons team qualified for the semi-finals of the tournament. When Iyer was informed about the same by the broadcaster, he was surprised. The video of the moment was shared on the micro-blogging site X (formerly Twitter). Have a look at the video below.

Iyer missed the opening game of his team and Angrish Raghuvanshi led the side in his absence. The right-handed batsman has batted in only two games so far, registering knocks of 13 runs and 25 runs.

Meanwhile, SoBo Mumbai Falcons will face Aakash Tigers MWS in the 20th match of the tournament on Sunday, June 8. The encounter will take place at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. It is their last league match of the tournament.

Namo Bandra Blasters, Eagle Thane Strikers, and Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals are the other three teams that have qualified for the semi-finals. The tournament will conclude with the final on June 12 at Wankhede Stadium.
