[Watch] Shreyas Iyer imitates Sunil Narine's bowling action in practice session ahead of IPL 2024 final

Shreyas Iyer and Sunil Narine have scored 345 and 482 runs respectively for KKR this season.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Shreyas Iyer imitated his teammate and senior off-spinner Sunil Narine’s bowling action at the nets ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 final against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). This epic clash between the two sides will take place at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on May 26.

Two-time champions KKR are having a dream run in the ongoing IPL 2024 season. Under the leadership of Iyer, KKR finished at top of the points table with 20 points and then crushed Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight wickets in Qualifier 1 to earn a direct spot in the finals.

Notably, KKE defeated Hyderabad by four runs in their first encounter this season in the league stage at the iconic Eden Gardens on March 23.

Shreyas Iyer copies Sunil Narine’s bowling action

In a latest video posted by the franchise’s official handle on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), skipper Shreyas was seen trying to replicate veteran spinner Narine’s action in the nets ahead of the much-anticipated IPL 2024 final.

The post was captioned – “Skipper Shreyas. Bowling style: T20 GOAT! 😉.”

How have Iyer and Narine performed in the IPL 2024?

Narine is having a stunning run with both bat and ball in the ongoing edition. In 14 games, the all-rounder has smashed 482 runs at an average of 37.08 and a strike rate of 179, including three half-centuries and one hundred. With the ball, he has scalped 17 wickets till now at a mind-blowing economy of 6.90.

On the other hand, skipper Iyer is having a decent tournament with the bat. The middle-order batter has amassed 345 runs in 14 outings at an average of 38.33, which includes two fifties till now.
