Shreyas Iyer has played two finals in the IPL.

Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer has been one of the best batsmen and captains in the Indian Premier League (IPL) over the years. The right-handed batsman has played 132 games in the IPL and slammed 3730 runs at an average of 34.54. Iyer has also scored 27 half-centuries in the tournament, including a top knock of an unbeaten 97 runs.

Iyer made his IPL debut in the 2015 season with Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals). He represented the side till the 2021 season. In IPL 2022, he was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Ahead of IPL 2025, Punjab Kings (PBKS) inducted him into their squad.

PBKS also named him the skipper in IPL 2025. Iyer has done an incredible job as the leader of the side. PBKS have reached the IPL 2025 final. Surprisingly, the team failed to reach the playoffs for the last 10 seasons since the IPL 2014 edition.

Iyer has also captured a magnificent record in his name. He has become the first captain to drive three IPL teams to the finals of the tournament. Earlier, Iyer led DC to the final in the 2020 edition, where they ended up as runners-up. He led KKR to the trophy in the 2024 season.

The PBKS skipper has done a spectacular job as a batsman in IPL 2025. He is the leading run-scorer for his side. He has mustered 603 runs in 16 games at an average of 54.82 and a stunning strike rate of 175.80. The right-handed batter has shattered six half-centuries, including a top knock of an unbeaten 97 runs.

Shreyas Iyer has played two IPL finals in the past in IPL 2020 and IPL 2024. In the IPL 2020 final against Mumbai Indians, he scored an unbeaten 65 runs for DC in a losing cause. In the 2024 final against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), the KKR skipper added an unbeaten six runs as his team won the match.

He is the sixth-highest run-getter in IPL 2025 as of now. The PBKS skipper hammered a match-winning knock of an unbeaten 87 runs in the Qualifier 2 match against MI.
