The Sher-e-Punjab T20 League is currently underway and producing some thrilling matches. The league features some of the best Indian cricketers from Punjab along with emerging stars. Fazilka Falcons had a great start to the tournament, winning their first match against Jalandhar Warriors by 8 wickets.
Vihaan Malhotra, who is the U-19 World Cup-winning player and plays for RCB in the IPL, scored a brilliant century. However, in the next two matches, the team suffered back-to-back losses. Shubman Gill, who is the captain of the team, hasn’t featured in any of their matches, and fans are wondering when he will be available to play in the league.
Gill was acquired by the Falcons as a marquee player, and he was the one who designed the jersey of the team, which was later launched by his father, Lakhwinder Singh Gill, in Chandigarh ahead of the tournament on National Sports Day.

Gill was captaining the Indian team a few days back in Sri Lanka in a two-match Test series, which the Indian team won 1-0. However, he did not feature for the Falcons in the initial matches of the Sher-e-Punjab T20 League. But we might see the star Indian cricketer playing in the state-based league for the Falcons.
With the tournament still alive, the Falcons have 5 matches remaining, and they would expect their captain Gill to lead in most of these matches and help them qualify for the next stage.
