The SL vs IND second Test of the series will be played at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo.
The first Test between Sri Lanka and India had an expected ending, as the Shubman Gill-led side recorded a thumping win by 165 runs in Galle. Devdutt Padikkal and Manav Suthar played a crucial role in India’s win. While, Padikkal recorded his maiden century, Suthar recorded his maiden ten-wicket haul in the match.
India dominated Sri Lanka in all three formats and earned a 1-0 lead in the series. The second Test is slated to take place at Sinhalese Sports Club between August 23 and 26. India have a real good chance to carry on their good record in Sri Lanka. They will start the second Test as favorites.
On the other hand, Sri Lanka looked a little weaker with the bat in the absence of Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis. And now, Dinesh Chandimal has also been ruled out. That will put the hosts under immense pressure. They have add four seamers in their squad for the second Test but it is their batting that needs to perform well.

The action on the day one of the second and final Test between Sri Lanka and India starts at 10 AM IST/local time at Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo. The first session will be followed by a 40-minute lunch break between 12 and 12:40 PM IST.
The second session will run from 12:40 PM to 2:40 PM IST. Following that, there will be a tea break, which will last 20 minutes. The last sessions on Day 1 in Colombo will start at 3:00 PM IST and will last until 5 PM IST. In case of rain or bad light, there is an extension of half an hour also.
