India dominated second day of SL vs IND second Test at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo.
The Indian Cricket Team continued their dominance in the second Test of the series as they had a sensational outing with the bat at Sinhalese Sports Club on Monday. They declared their first innings at a massive total of 503 for nine, and then took two quick Sri Lankan wickets to end the day on a high.
Continuing at the overnight score of 300 for five, India had a poor start to the day as they lost Saransh Jain early. But Rishabh Pant (63), who retired hurt on day one, and Dhruv Jurel (115*) took the game away from Sri Lanka with their partnership.
The two wicketkeeper-batsmen were all over the opposition, adding 112 runs together. While Pant fell in the second session, Jurel went on to hit his second century in Tests. He also stitched vital partnerships with Manav Suthar and Mohammed Siraj as India declared their first innings at 503 for nine. For Sri Lanka, Asitha Fernando was the pick of the bowlers with his four wickets.
India then had a sensational half-hour with the ball as Prasidh Krishna first removed Lahiru Udara and then Manav Suthar took the wicket of Prabath Jayasuriya. At stumps on day two, Sri Lanka were eight for two, trailing by 495 runs.

The action on the day three of the second Test between Sri Lanka and India will begin at 10 AM IST/local. The first session will be followed by a 40-minute lunch break between 12 and 12:40 PM IST.
The second session will run from 12:40 PM to 2:40 PM IST. Following that, there will be a tea break, which will last 20 minutes. The last sessions on Day 3 in Colombo will start at 3:00 PM IST and will last until 5 PM IST. There will be an extension of half an hour also to make up for remaining overs.
