Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal’s wedding was called off in November last year.
After playing a pivotal role in India Women’s victory in ICC Women’s ODI World Cup in November last year, Smriti Mandhana was all set to marry long-time fiance Palash Muchhal. Their wedding became a hot topic of discussion as Palash proposed to Mandhana for marriage at DY Patil Sports Stadium in Navi Mumbai, where India won the trophy.
The couple shared the video of the moment on social media, which became viral among cricket fans. They announced their wedding in November; however, it was postponed with families citing Mandhana’s father health issues.
Later, the wedding was called off and the couple did not share the exact reason for the same. However, rumours emerged that Palash was caught cheating and it was the reason behind their break-up.
Viral video of Mandhana-Muchhal family sparks speculation of couple getting back together
A video has gone viral on social media where family members of the couple are sharing a cordial moment. In the video, Palash’s sister Palak Muchhal and her husband are seen greeting Smriti’s father Shrinivas Mandhana outside a cafe in Mumbai.
In the video, Palak, a popular singer, is also seen seeking blessings from Mandhana’s father before posing for the paparazzi. After the video, many fans speculated that the couple might be getting back together with the reunion of their families.
However, a few other fans also stated that the video could be old and could have been shot when the couple were together. The timeline for the video could not be ascertained. Have a look at the video below.
According to Times of India journalist, Gaurav Gupta, there are no chances of two getting married. The wedding stands called off.
Meanwhile, Mandhana led Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Women to the title in the Women’s Premier League 2026 in February. She was also part of India Women’s tour of Australia in Feb-March, where both sides clashed in one test, three ODIs and three T20Is.
