Smriti Mandhana ended with an innings of 125 runs off 65 balls against Australia Women in the third ODI.

Indian Women’s Cricket Team batter Smriti Mandhana achieved a massive feat in the history of Indian cricket. She broke Virat Kohli’s record of fastest hundred by an Indian batter in ODI cricket – Men’s or Women’s.

Smriti Mandhana achieved the feat during the third match of the three-match ODI series against the Australian Women’s Cricket Team. The series decider between the teams took place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Saturday (September 20).

After the Australian Women’s Cricket Team posted a massive total of 412 runs on the board, the Indian Women were off to a rollicking start with the bat, thanks to Smriti Mandhana. The opening batter went after the bowlers right from the start and put them under massive pressure.

Smriti Mandhana, who slammed a ton in the last game, continued her golden form with the bat and played some glorious shots in her innings. She hardly put a foot wrong in her innings and slammed the fastest fifty for India women in the ODIs, achieving the feat in just 23 balls.

Smriti Mandhana, however, didn’t stop there as then she went on to hit a brutal century. The opening batter slammed her second consecutive ton of the series in just 50 balls, which is the fastest for Indian women in ODI cricket. She broke her own record of achieving the feat in 70 balls against Ireland.

Smriti Mandhana ended with an innings of 125 runs off 65 balls. She batted with a strike rate of over 198 and also hammered 17 fours and five sixes during her stay at the crease.
