5 star players from DPL 2026 who could earn contracts in IPL 2027

DPL 2026 concluded after a month-long series of spectacular performances.

The Delhi Premier League has gradually established itself as one of the most reliable platforms in Indian domestic cricket, consistently bringing to the fore emerging talent in the shortest format of the game.

Several talented cricketers from Delhi get the opportunity to perform in a competitive environment, making it one of the powerhouses of Indian domestic T20s.

The 2026 edition was no different, producing several impressive individual performances. The tournament concluded on August 30, with South Delhi Superstarz beating Central Delhi Kings in the final.

With the IPL 2027 auction expected to provide another opportunity for emerging Indian players, several players who contributed immensely in the DPL 2026 are likely to enter the auction and will draw lucrative prices from several franchises.

Yash Dhull

Yash Dhull was arguably one of the most prolific batters of the Delhi Premier League 2026. Representing the Central Delhi Kings, he finished the tournament as one of the leading run-scorers with 410 runs across 9 innings, scoring at an impressive 51.25 and a whopping strike rate of 214.66.

His consistency makes him better than the others in the top order, and with several IPL teams looking for positive starts in the powerplay, Dhull might be a lucrative option. Moreover, he has been part of the IPL with Delhi Capitals in 2022.

Anmol Sharma

Anmol Sharma, another Delhi cricketer, emerged as a major batting option. The middle-order batter was very consistent in his performances and played a match-winning knock to help South Delhi Superstars win their maiden DPL trophy.

He scored 414 runs in 11 matches, finishing second on the overall run-scoring charts with an average of 46.00. His ability to contribute continuously with the bat often attracts big IPL bids.

Gavnish Khurana

IPL has called for the rise of quality wicket-takers in recent seasons. The seasons have been single-handedly dominated by top-quality batting, and hence players like Gavnish Khurana often emerge as strong contenders.

A left-arm seam bowling option, Khurana picked 21 wickets for the Central Delhi Kings and finished as the leading wicket-taker of DPL 2026.

Anshuman Hooda

Anshuman Hooda remained at the top of the wicket tally before Khurana surpassed him. He also finished with 21 wickets, and his bowling looked very professional and match-ready for the big stage. His ability to take wickets could earn him a lucrative deal in the IPL 2027 auction.

Money Grewal

Money Grewal was another pacer who caught attention during this DPL season. He finished with 18 wickets, putting him on the list of DPL 2026’s highest wicket-takers.

With pace and T20 bowling remaining highly valued, Grewal could be another domestic player to attract bids during the IPL 2027 auction.
