A total of eight teams, two from each group, will qualify for the Super 8 of the T20 World Cup 2026.

The group stage of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 is coming to an end, and teams are preparing for the next stage of the tournament, the Super 8s. As cricket’s biggest names battle it out for the coveted title, the competition will only get tougher.

Some teams performed brilliantly and secured a place in the next round without losing a single game, while a few are still struggling to make it. Thus, without any further ado, let’s take a look at the T20 World Cup 2026 Qualification Scenarios.

With three wins in three matches, India have already qualified for the Super 8 of the 2026 ICC World Cup. The co-hosts are the only unbeaten team in the group, with six points, and they will face the Netherlands in the last group-stage game on Wednesday, February 18.

With six points, Pakistan became the eighth team to qualify for the Super 8 round. They secured their place with a big win over Namibia in their last group stage match.

USA: (Eliminated)

After Pakistan’s victory over Namibia, the USA have been eliminated from the tournament. The USA once again performed well in the tournament. They finished their campaign with 2 wins and 2 losses.

Netherlands: (Eliminated)

With one win in three matches, the Netherlands currently sit fourth in the group with an NRR of -1.352. They would have had an outside chance of making a cut; however, due to the NRR difference, they have been eliminated.

Namibia: (Eliminated)

Namibia have lost all three of their matches in the group stage so far. However, they can still ruin the party for Pakistan.

Group B

Sri Lanka: (Qualified)

With three wins in three games, Sri Lanka have qualified for the next round. The co-hosts have given strong performances in their group-stage games, and Dusan Shanaka’s men would look to win their second title.

Zimbabwe: (Qualified)

Surprisingly, Zimbabwe became the seventh team to qualify for the Super 8 round. They secured their place after their match against Ireland was abandoned due to rain. With this, they cemented the second spot in Group B with 5 points, and Australia cannot achieve 5 points as they have only one match remaining.

Scotland: (Eliminated)

Scotland won their match against Italy, but that won’t be sufficient to keep them in the tournament. With one game remaining, they are out of the World Cup.

Italy: (Eliminated)

Italy won their first-ever ICC World Cup game by beating Nepal by 10 wickets, a result that will remain one of the tournament’s biggest highlights. However, they are also eliminated.

Nepal: (Eliminated)

Nepal have failed to win a single game in the ongoing edition of the World Cup, despite coming close to scripting history against England in their first group-stage game. With zero points after all of their matches, they are eliminated.

UAE: (Eliminated)

Canada: (Eliminated)

Canada still have two matches in hand, but because of negative NRR (-1.526), they are out of the tournament.
