Suryakumar Yadav-led India won Asia Cup 2025 by defeating Pakistan in the final.
Indian Cricket Team demolished Pakistan Cricket Team by five wickets in a nail-biting Asia Cup 2025 final on Sunday, September 28 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. Following the summit clash and the drama after it, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav has pledged all of his match fees from the tournament towards the victims of Pahalgam terror attack and the Indian Armed Forces.
In April, a Pakistan-based terror group attacked a tourist spot in Pahalgam city in Kashmir Valley. Several people were killed in the incident. Later, the Indian Armed Forces conducted Operation Sindoor in May, attacking hideouts of terrorists responsible for the attack in Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir (PoK).
Earlier in the tournament, Suryakumar dedicated India’s group-stage victory over Pakistan to the Pahalgam terror attack victims and the Indian Armed Forces. Now, he has come up with another heartwarming gesture as a tribute to Pahalgam terror attack victims.

Suryakumar Yadav donates Asia Cup 2025 earnings to Pahalgam victims
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the Indian skipper announced that he will give his entire earnings from the tournament to Pahalgam terror attack victims and the Indian Armed Forces.
“I have decided to donate my match fees from this tournament to support our Armed Forces and the families of the victims who suffered from the Pahalgam terror attack. You always remain in my thoughts. Jai Hind,” he wrote on X.
Notably, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had filed a complaint with the International Cricket Council (ICC) over Suryakumar’s remarks to dedicate the group stage victory against Pakistan to Pahalgam terrorist attack victims and the Indian Armed Forces. The PCB cited that he made it a political issue.
Meanwhile, Asia Cup 2025 final witnessed a controversy as Indian players refused to receive the winner’s trophy and awards from Asian Cricket Council (ACC) president and PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who is also a minister in Pakistan’s government, during the post-match presentation ceremony. Reportedly, Naqvi took away the trophy and medals with him.
