In what will be a massive boost for the Indian Cricket Team, T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav has been declared fit to play Asia Cup 2025. As per the reports in PTI, it is learned that the premier batter has cleared the fitness test after his surgery.
Suryakumar was out of action ever since the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 ended. After the tournament, the batter went to Germany and underwent a sports hernia surgery. He recently arrived in India and has been doing his rehabilitation.
Suryakumar has been putting in the hard yards at the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) Centre of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru. He also shared pictures and videos about his recovery, where he resumed batting as well.
With him undergoing rehabilitation, there were a lot of speculations about whether he would play the Asia Cup or not. His availability now will be a big boost for the team as he has been India’s best batter in the format for the last few years.
