Suryakumar Yadav gets injured while trying to catch the ball, Taken out of the field

While trying to catch the ball off Axar Patel's bat, Suryakumar Yadav got hit on his eyes.

In a big scare to Mumbai Indians, their star batter Suryakumar Yadav has suffered a freak injury on the eye while attempting a catch against Delhi Capitals. In the 17th over of the game, Suryakumar Yadav attempted to take a catch of Axar Patel in the long on. He missed it and let it burst through his hands, the ball went over the boundary line for a six. The ball also hit his eyes, Mumbai Indians medical team immediately was on the field to attend to Suryakumar Yadav after it went over the boundary line for six.

There are no official words on SKY’s injury yet. Mumbai Indians star player left the field immediately after the incident. Mumbai Indians star pacer Jasprit Bumrah is already out of the season with a back injury, now Suryakumar going off the field is a big scare for Mumbai Indians in the upcoming games of the IPL. Mumbai Indians will closely assess SKY's injury as he is the mainstay of their middle order, SKY had a wonderful run in T20 internationals for India last year. Indian Team management will be keen to know about the situation as well.  

All-rounder Axar Patel went on to score a half century against Mumbai Indians. He smashed 54 runs in 25 balls with 4 fours and 5 sixes in his inning. Along with Axar, Captain David Warner has also scored a half century. Delhi gave Mumbai Indians 173 runs to chase in 20 overs. Other than David Warner and Axar Patel the other Delhi batters failed to score big numbers. For Mumbai, Piyush Chawla and Jason Behrendorff picked up 3 wickets each.
