Mumbai Indians (MI) are scheduled to clash with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in their next match of the Indian Premier League 2026. The match will take place on May 10 (Sunday) at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur.

RCB are set to play their last two home games at this venue. This will be the second clash between the two sides in IPL 2026, with Bengaluru winning the earlier one at Wankhede Stadium.

Captain Hardik Pandya was absent from MI’s previous game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). He was unavailable for the match due to back spasms. Vice-captain Suryakumar Yadav led the side in his absence against LSG, which MI won by six wickets.

Notably, Pandya and Suryakumar are expected to miss the next clash against RCB, according to a report by Revsportz. While Pandya is still recovering from back spasms, Surya will miss the game due to personal reasons.

Both of them have struggled with their form in IPL 2026. Pandya has scored 146 runs across eight games at a strike rate of 136.44 and failed to hit a half-century. He has picked up four wickets at an economy of 11.90.

Surya has piled up just 195 runs in 10 games at a poor average of 19.50 and a strike rate of 145.52. He scored a half-century in one encounter but failed to go big with the bat in other games.

If both Pandya and Yadav are unavailable for the next clash, senior players like Jasprit Bumrah and Rohit Sharma are the possible names to lead the Mumbai Indians.

Meanwhile, Mumbai are on the verge of getting eliminated from the playoffs. They have four more games left in the tournament, and even if they win all of them, they are not guaranteed a playoffs berth. With 3 victories in 10 games, the five-time champions are placed ninth in the points table with six points.
