DPL 2026 Team of the Tournament ft. Yash Dhull & Ayush Badoni

South Delhi Superstarz won the DPL 2026 becoming the third team to win the title.

The third edition of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) produced another action-packed season of T20 cricket, with eight franchises competing across 44 matches. The tournament began on July 31 and was played at the iconic Arun Jaitley Stadium, while the final match was played between the South Delhi Superstarz and Central Delhi Kings.

Central Delhi Kings remained the best side during the league stage, finishing top with nine wins from 10 matches, while South Delhi Superstarz finished second. However, the South Delhi Superstarz crushed the Central Delhi Kings in the first qualifier to book their spot in the final before the Kings bounced back by beating the Purani Dilli 6 in the 2nd qualifier to emerge as the second finalists.

Both of them had played in the DPL finals before but were never crowned the champions of the Delhi Premier League. South Delhi Superstarz won their first-ever title in the DPL in 2026.

The tournament marked some of the most thrilling performances from players who were not exclusively part of just the two teams that made it to the finals. A few players who had outstanding individual campaigns have made the cut to feature in the DPL team of the tournament.

DPL 2026: Team of the tournament

Catch Every Update, Anytime, Anywhere

1. Sarthak Ranjan – North Delhi Strikers

One of the leading run-scorers of the DPL 2026 season, Ranjan deserves the opening slot to himself. He accumulated 493 runs at an average of 54.78 and a whopping strike rate of 167.69. He, who smashed several boundaries, is a true asset during the powerplay.

2. Yash Dhull – Central Delhi Kings

Dhull has been one of the competition’s most destructive batters. Having amassed 410 runs, the former India Under-19 captain batted with an astonishing strike rate of 214.66. He was also one of the centurions of this DPL season.

3. Yash Bhatia – North Delhi Strikers

Another batter from the North Delhi Strikers den, Bhatia was one of the most consistent performers of the season, well described by his average of 59.50. With a handy strike rate over 158, Bhatia scored 357 runs across nine innings.

4. Jonty Sidhu – Central Delhi Kings

The CDK skipper Jonty Sidhu was crucial to his team’s middle-overs batting. Though T20 cricket doesn’t look for much stability across any phase of the game, Sidhu acted as a pillar for his team, anchoring the innings perfectly between the powerplay and the death overs. He amassed 362 runs at a whopping strike rate of 181.

5. Anmol Sharma – South Delhi Superstarz

Anmol Sharma is our first batter from the Superstarz team on this list. Alongside being a crucial contributor for his team, his presence in the middle order adds more assurance of run-scoring than anyone else on this list. He scored 414 runs across his 11 innings with a match-winning innings in the DPL final.

6. Siddharth Joon (wk) – Central Delhi Kings

Joon combined wicket-keeping skills with explosive batting technique, which makes him the must-have gloveman on this DPL team of the tournament. Striking over 204, he amassed 327 runs in 12 matches for the Kings. He has also hit the most sixes in the DPL 2026: 34.

7. Ayush Badoni (c) – South Delhi Superstarz

The South Delhi Superstarz skipper Ayush Badoni is the best to finish the innings. Badoni is known as an explosive middle-order batter and is well capable of taking his team over the line on multiple occasions. Playing just eight matches, he contributed handsomely with 281 runs and an excellent strike rate of 186.09. Considering his experience in the IPL and for India A, Badoni is the captain of the team.

8. Gavnish Khurana – Central Delhi Kings

Khurana leads the bowling charts with 21 wickets, making him an automatic choice for the bowling attack. His left-arm bowling action makes him crucial for any team’s performance.

9. Anshuman Hooda – South Delhi Superstarz

To pair alongside the left-armer, we have Anshuman Hooda, another leading wicket-taker in the DPL with 21 wickets as well. Hooda played fewer matches than Khurana, yet the right-arm fast bowler matches his tally of wickets.

10. Money Grewal – Central Delhi Kings

Central Delhi Kings pacer Money Grewal also was very successful in this edition of the DPL, as he picked up 18 wickets while working closely with Gavnish Khurana.

11. Harsh Tyagi – Outer Delhi Warriors

Harsh Tyagi completes the bowling attack as a specialist spinner. He is the second spinner alongside Ayush Badoni on the side. He has picked up 16 wickets in 10 appearances this season.
