Pakistan Women are placed in Group A alongside India, Australia, South Africa, Bangladesh and Netherlands. They lost their opening game against arch-rivals India Women by 64 runs, which followed a losing streak for the side.

They lost their second clash against South Africa by two wickets in a close-fought encounter. Their shocking 23-run defeat against Bangladesh in the third game led to their ouster from the tournament. The Fatima Sana & Co. have lost four games in a row.

Netherlands Women

The Netherlands Women are another team from Group A that have been eliminated from the race to the semi-finals.

After losing their first three games in a row against Bangladesh, India, and Australia, the Babette de Leede-led side will not be able to progress to the semis. They languish in the sixth spot in the points table with 0 points, but have two more games left in the tournament.

Group B

Ireland Women

Ireland Women had a poor time in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. Their shocking defeat against Scotland in the opening game shattered their morale and confidence.

They suffered defeats against England, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka, too, failing to win any of their first four games. Ireland were the first team from Group B to be eliminated from the semi-finals race. They will lock horns with the West Indies in their last match of the tournament, which will be a dead-rubber clash.

Scotland Women

Scotland Women are part of Group B and have been eliminated from the semi-finals of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. They scripted history by defeating Ireland Women by 40 runs in their opening game.

Later, they lost back-to-back encounters against the West Indies Women, England Women, and New Zealand Women. Winning just one game out of four, they are stranded in the fifth spot in the points table with two points.
