BPL: Teams to win most Bangladesh Premier League titles

Only five teams have won the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) so far.
The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) has successfully attracted a large fan base and international cricketers in Bangladesh. The tournament has played a big role in the recent growth of Bangladesh’s international side.
The franchise-based T20 league gives a great opportunity and platform to local players to get some useful tips from international players in a one-month-long tournament. The BPL began in 2012, when most of the T20 leagues around the world were taking shape. The tournament began with six teams in 2012, but now seven teams take part in the league.
A total of eight teams have participated in the league’s history, and only five out of them have been successful in winning the prestigious BPL title.
Two teams have managed to dominate the entire tournament with their performance. Let’s have a look at the teams with the most titles in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Here are the teams that have won the most titles in the history of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL):
5. Rajshahi Royals – 1 Title

Rajshahi Royals are among the four teams to win the BPL. Rajshahi Royals’ only title win came in 2019/20 when they defeated Khulna Tigers in the final by 21 runs. Earlier in 2016, Rajshahi Royals played in the final of the tournament, but failed to win the title clash against Dhaka Dynamites.
4. Rangpur Riders – 1 Title

Rangpur Riders have won the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) title only once so far. Rangpur Riders won the BPL title in 2017. Rangpur defeated Dhaka Dynamites (now Durdanto Dhaka) in the final played in Mirpur. Rangpur Riders’ opener Chris Gayle scored a century (146) in the title clash to help his team win their first and only BPL title.
3. Fortune Barishal – 2 Title:

Fortune Barishal won back-to-back Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) titles in 2024 and 2025. Tamim Iqbal-led Barishal secured their first title after defeating defending champions Comilla Victorians in the title clash.
After winning the toss and electing to field first, Barishal restricted Comilla to 154/6 in the first innings. Barishal later chased it down in 19 overs and won the match by six wickets. In 2025, they successfully defended their title by defeating Chittagong Kings in the final.
2. Durdanto Dhaka – 3 Titles

The Dhaka franchise has changed their name several times in the history of the Bangladesh Premier League. Dhaka began with the name Dhaka Gladiators and won consecutive titles in the 2012 and 2013 editions.
Dhaka won their third BPL title as Dhaka Dynamites in BPL 2016. The three-time BPL winners also finished as runners-up in 2017 and 2018.
1. Comilla Victorians – 4 Titles

Comilla Victorians made their debut in 2015 and won their first title in their debut season. So far, they have won four titles, which is by far the most by any team in tournament history. Victorians’ other title wins came in 2018, 2022, and 2023.
