Two teams, each from Group A and B, will book berths in the semi-finals of Women’s T20 World Cup.
The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 is underway as a total of 12 teams are engaging in nail-biting clashes. The tournament kickstarted on June 12 and will witness the final on July 5 at Lord’s, London. These teams are divided into two groups, A and B with six teams each.
The Group A features India, Australia, and South Africa, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and the Netherlands. While Group B includes, England, West Indies, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Scotland, and Ireland.
As per the format of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, each team will face the other teams of their group once. The top two teams in the points table from each group will qualify for the semi-finals, and the winners will further book a spot in the summit clash. England Women have been in a fabulous form in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 so far, winning back-to-back games. Under Nat Sciver-Brunt’s captaincy, England have been unbeaten so far in the tournament, and have won four out of their four games.
They crushed Sri Lanka and Ireland in their opening games by 87 runs and 4 wickets respectively. Later, they outplayed Scotland and the West Indies by 38 runs respectively to become the first team to qualify for the semi-finals. Winning four games out of four so far, they have eight points in their kitty.
