Tim David FINED heavily by BCCI for showing mid**e fingers after RCB's win over MI in IPL 2026 - Reports

Tim David was dismissed for a duck in the RCB vs MI clash on May 10.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) by two wickets in a nail-biting clash on Sunday (May 10). The match was amongst the most thrilling clashes of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, which witnessed RCB stealing a victory on the final delivery.

After being asked to bat first, Mumbai piled up 166/7 on the back of half-century by Tilak Varma (57) and a crucial knock by Naman Dhir (47). They did a brilliant job with the ball, getting three crucial wickets in the powerplay.

However, Krunal Pandya (73) scored a magnificent half-century to bring RCB back into the game. The match witnessed many twists, especially in the second innings. RCB players were quite active in the dug-out, cheering for their batters during the chase.

After Rasikh Salam Dar and Bhuvneshwar Kumar sneaked two runs off the final delivery to propel RCB to victory, several RCB players celebrated in excitement from the dugout. However, Tim David’s gestures have landed him in trouble.

Tim David fined for his offensive gesture in RCB vs MI clash

After RCB’s victory, Tim David showed an offensive gesture from the dug-out. In the video getting viral on social media, he was seen raising his middle fingers. Hence, he has been booked by the BCCI for breaching the IPL code of conduct.

The RCB batter will be fined 30% of his match fees and given two demerit points, as per a report by the Times of India.

Notably, RCB coach Andy Flower has also been fined by the BCCI for his aggressive behaviour with the fourth umpire during the match. Andy was found to have breached Article 2.3 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct, which relates to “use of an audible obscenity during a match”. He was fined 15% of his match fee.

Meanwhile, RCB reached the top spot in the points table after the victory, while MI were eliminated from the playoffs race.
