[Watch] Tim David's six lands on fan's face during DC vs MI IPL 2024 clash

Tim David’s six off Khaleel Ahmed hit a spectator in the stands during DC vs MI clash in Delhi.

An unfortunate moment occurred during the match No. 43 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 between the Delhi Capitals (DC) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on April 27. MI hard-hitter Tim David smashed a monstrous six, which landed on a fan’s face who was seated in the stands.

The incident happened in the 14th over of the second innings when Capitals pacer Khaleel Ahmed came into the attack. On the fifth ball of the over, David walked across his stumps and slammed a slower ball over the cow corner.

A spectator who was trying to take the catch got hit in the face as he failed to catch the ball. Soon after that, the fan was seen bleeding, and a few security guards rushed towards him and escorted him out for further treatment. However, it seems like it was not too serious.

Jake Fraser-McGurk fiery knock helps Delhi Capitals to post 257/4

After being ask to bat first, DC opener Jake Fraser-McGurk unleashed his beast mode as he hammered a 27-ball 84 and middle-order batter Tristan Stubbs smashed an unbeaten 48 runs off 25 balls which helped Capitals to post a massive total of 257 runs in 20 overs. They also registered their highest ever score in the IPL till now.

The 22-year-old McGurk also equaled his own record for the fastest fifty for DC after he reached the half-century in just 15 balls. The youngster hammered 11 fours and six maximums with an explosive strike rate of over 300 during his stay at the crease.
