The Indian Cricket Team are on a poor run in T20I cricket as they have lost yet another T20I series, and even worse, they have been whitewashed once again. Even though the same side won the T20 World Cup earlier this year, they are now finding it tough in overseas conditions.
The team management decided to sack and drop the World Cup-winning captain, Suryakumar Yadav, ahead of the Ireland and England tour and appointed Shreyas Iyer as the captain of the T20I team. However, so far, the team have failed to win a single match under his captaincy.
Touring Ireland, they lost the series 0–2, making it the first time Ireland defeated India in a T20I series. After that, they toured England and suffered an embarrassing 0–4 defeat. England defeated the India in a T20I series for the first time in 12 years.
Back-to-back whitewashes against Ireland and England have left fans in shock, and the Indian team management and players are facing criticism for their underperformance. On that note, let’s have a look at the times the Men in Blue have been whitewashed in a T20I series before.

This is the first time that the Shreyas Iyer-led side has faced two back-to-back whitewashes in T20I cricket, which has drawn criticism from the media and the fans.The first-ever whitewash they suffered came in 2009 when they toured New Zealand for a two-match T20I series and lost both games.
