Big Bash League (BBL) is one of the most exciting franchise T20 tournaments in the world, which has entertained fans since its maiden edition in 2011. The Australia’s franchise T20 tournament witnesses a battle between eight city-based franchises every year.
Over the years, BBL has enthralled Australian as well international cricket fans with nail-biting encounters. The tournament is a huge platform for emerging Australian cricketers, and many players have also made it to the national team with their impeccable performance in the tournament.
Many batsmen have tasted immense success in the BBL with their consistent performances in the league. If we look at records, 10 batsmen have hit more than 100 sixes in the tournament’s history. 5. Marcus Stoinis – 111 sixes

Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis captures the fifth place on this list. Since his debut in the BBL in the 2012 edition, the 36-year-old batter has hammered 111 sixes in 116 games. At an average of over 34, he has slammed one century and 20 half-centuries in the tournament. Since the 2013 edition, Stoinis has played for Melbourne Stars.
4. Aaron Finch – 118 sixes

Former Australia captain Aaron Finch was a highly successful batter in BBL, smashing 118 sixes in 107 games. At an average of 34.48, the right-handed batsman piled up 3311 runs in the league, hitting 292 boundaries in the process. During his entire BBL career from 2011 to 2024, Finch represented Melbourne Renegades.
3. Ben McDermott – 140 sixes

Ben McDermott grabs the third spot on this list with 140 sixes in 107 matches. The wicket-keeper batsman entered the league in the 2014 edition and is representing Hobart Hurricanes in BBL 2025-26. At an average of 35.08 and a strike rate of over 138, he has mustered more than 2900 runs in the tournament.
2. Glenn Maxwell – 151 sixes

In the ongoing BBL 2025-26, Glenn Maxwell became the second batsman to smack 150 sixes in the tournament’s history. The right-handed batsman is playing for Melbourne Stars in the 2025-26 season, and has hit 151 sixes in 122 games. At a stunning strike rate of 155.54, Maxwell has piled up 3282 runs in the league and is the third highest all-time run-scorer.
1. Chris Lynn – 220 sixes

Chris Lynn steals the top spot on this list with 220 sixes in the Big Bash League. With 3986 runs in 130 games, the right-handed batter is the all-time highest run-scorer in the tournament. The opening batter also owns the record for most fours (330). The 35-year-old was part of the Brisbane Heat in his debut edition in 2011 but is playing for Adelaide Strikers in the current season, having been part of the side since 2022.
