Rachin came in to bat for New Zealand when they lost Devon Conway in the 8th over. Conway and Young did have a decent opening stand, but New Zealand needed someone at the top to lead the charge and take their momentum forward. Rachin Ravindra, with his calmness, provided stability to Kiwis in the middle overs, and he kept on adding a few brilliant partnerships along the way in a mammoth run chase.
He looked comfortable while taking on Australian pace attack as well as Australian spinners. Ravindra played a magnificent stroke that gave a glimpse of him being a superstar product for the future. Along with playing big shots, Ravindra also looked comfortable while rotating the strike and didn’t allow pressure to rise on Kiwi batsmen. Rachin Ravindra perished after scoring 116 runs in 89 balls with nine fours and five sixes.

Ravindra played a magical knock of unbeaten 123 runs in the opening game against England and chased down England’s target of 283 easily. Australia posted a mammoth 388 runs on the board with the help of big innings from their openers.
