Rishabh Pant made 109 runs in his comeback test match against Bangladesh in Chennai.

In India’s second innings, wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant played a blistering knock in his comeback test match against Bangladesh in the ongoing first IND vs BAN test in Chennai.

Pant, who is playing his first test since surviving a life-threatening car accident in December 2022, smashed 109 runs in India’s second innings on Day 3 of the ongoing Chennai test against the Najmul Hossain Shanto-led side.

In the first innings, Pant played a crucial knock of 39 runs off 52 deliveries, which stabilized India’s innings as they scored 376 runs. Then, the Indian bowlers dismantled Bangladesh’s batting lineup for 149 runs.

With India already in command, Pant showcased his class with the bat in the second innings. The left-handed batter slammed 109 runs off 128 deliveries, including 13 fours and four maximums.

After scoring his sixth test century, Pant equalled MS Dhoni’s record of scoring the most centuries in test cricket by an Indian wicket-keeper.

This is how the cricketing world hailed Pant’s impressive knock at the MA. Chidambaram Stadium against Bangladesh:
