Rishabh Pant became first Indian to hit twin-centuries in a test match in England.

Indian wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant continued where he left off in the first innings and slammed another ton in the ongoing first test between England and India at Headingley, Leeds. The first test between both the nations got underway on Friday, June 20 and is observing its fourth day on Monday, June 23.

Earlier, Pant had slammed 134 runs off 178 deliveries in the first innings. After being asked to bat first, the visitors piled up a mammoth total of 471/10 in the first innings with centuries by three batsmen – Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant.

While Gill (8) and Jaiswal (4) flopped with the bat in the second innings, Pant replicated his heroics with another ton in the second innings. With his twin centuries in the Headingley test, the left-handed batsman scripted history by becoming the first Indian batter to smack centuries in both innings of the test match in England.
