"Record broken AGAIN" Twitter lauds SRH as they smash 287/3 vs RCB in IPL 2024

SRH scord 287/3 against RCB to register the highest ever total in the IPL history.

It was a historic night in the M. Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru as Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) posted a mammoth total of 287/3 in 20 overs against a struggling Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 on April 15. SRH broke their own record of the highest ever total in IPL history till now.

Earlier in the ongoing IPL 2024, Hyderabad registered the then highest total of 277 against MI at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad.

After being asked to bat first, Hyderabad openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head added a 108-run stand for first wicket before Sharma departed for 34 runs in the eighth over.

However, Head ripped the RCB bowling line-up as he hammered his maiden IPL century. He notched up 102 off 41 deliveries with the help of nine boundaries and eight maximums. SRH’s explosive middle-order batter Heinrich Klassen then chipped in with a 31-ball 67, which consisted of seven sixes.

Towards the end, Abdul Samad gave the finishing touch by smacking an unbeaten 37 off 10 deliveries. The RCB bowlers had a horrific night as their pacers, Reece Topley, conceded 68 in his four-over spell, and Lockie Ferguson gave away 52 runs in the 24 deliveries that he bowled.

After SRH bettered their own record for the highest ever IPL total, cricketing fraternity across social media lauded the visitors for their scintillating show with the bat.
