Twitter erupts as Virat Kohli scores back-to-back centuries in IPL 2023

Virat Kohli hit 101 off 61 deliveries against Gujarat Titans in RCB's last league match of the IPL 2023.

In a big game, big man Virat Kohli has smashed his second consecutive century of the IPL 2023. He also made his entry in the Indian Premier League record books. Virat Kohli has now become the batter with most number of 100s in the IPL. He has broken the record of universe boss Chris Gayle. With an extraordinary innings from Virat kohli, Royal Challengers Bangalore have scored a mammoth total of 197 runs against Gujarat Titans. Virat Kohli has become 3rd batter to score consecutive hundreds in the league. Virat Kohli is also the leading run-scorer in the IPL. 

Coming in as an opener, Virat Kohli stayed at the crease till the last ball. Everyone was in full praise of this champion batter on social media. Virat Kohli looked unstoppable in his last two IPL innings. Along with Faf du Plessis, RCB opener Virat Kohli is carrying the RCB batting line-up on their shoulder. Kohli and Faf both have scored above 600 plus runs this season. Virat’s consistency became a keyword in his career.

After the innings Virat Kohli also made a bold statement about his T20 batting. Virat said, “A lot of people think my T20 batting is declining but I don’t feel like that at all. I feel I am playing my best again, enjoying myself, hitting gaps and big ones at the end. You have to rise up to occasion when the situation demands”. For RCB’s point of view, this game is really crucial for their playoffs chances. Virat has risen up to the occasion in the last two game for RCB and smashed two back to back centuries.
