WPL 2026: UP Warriorz full schedule

UP Warriorz will face Gujarat Giants in their opening game of the WPL 2026.
The fourth edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) will be even bigger after three successful editions. On Saturday, 29th November, the schedule of WPL 2026 was released, and the new edition will see a total of 22 exciting matches between five teams.
Mumbai Indians (MI) are the defending champions, and the other four participants are Delhi Capitals (DC), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Gujarat Giants (GG), and UP Warriorz (UPW). The tournament will run between January 9 and February 5. Just like the previous seasons, this tournament will follow the double round-robin format and playoffs.
All five teams are scheduled to play eight matches in the league stage. The team finishing at top of the league stage will directly qualify for the final, while the next two ranked teams will face each other in the Eliminator. UP Warriorz, who played the Eliminator in the first edition, couldn’t qualify for the top three in the last two editions.
They finished the last edition at the bottom of the table. That is why they released every player except uncapped Shweta Sehrawat and went into WPL 2026 mega auction with the biggest purse value.
The franchise re-signed Deepti Sharma for INR 3.2 crores and made two of the top three biggest purchases at the mega auction. They have also bought some big overseas stars like Meg Lanning, Phoebe Litchfield, and Sophie Ecclestone.
