The ODI series will run from November 4 to 15.

India will tour New Zealand (IND vs NZ) later this month for a multi-format series. The tour will include five T20Is, five ODIs and two Test matches. The T20I series will begin on October 22, followed by the ODI and Test series in November.

The five-match ODI series will start in Auckland on November 4, while the 1st Test will be played in Wellington from November 19. As the ODI series approaches, fans are waiting to see India‘s squad.

The BCCI has already announced India’s T20I squad. However, the ODI and Test squads have yet to be announced. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia has now shared an update on when the ODI squad will be selected.

Catch Every Update, Anytime, Anywhere

As per reports from The Times of India (TOI), BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia has confirmed that the ODI squad for the New Zealand tour will be announced in the next two to three days.

“We will select India’s ODI team in the next two or three days,” said Devajit Saikia.

The selectors will discuss the available players before making the final decision. Recent performances in domestic cricket and List A matches could also help some players earn a place in the squad.

Mumbai all-rounder Suryansh Shedge could also be considered for a spot in the team after his strong performance against Australia A in the recent List A series.

Shedge scored 66 runs in the final match and took four wickets during the series. With his impressive performance with both bat and ball, he could be selected for the ODI series.

Pragyan Ojha meets Shubman Gill and Gautam Gambhir

The squad selection update comes after interim chief selector Pragyan Ojha met India captain Shubman Gill and head coach Gautam Gambhir in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

It was reportedly their first meeting since the BCCI appointed Ojha as interim chairman of the national selection committee following Ajit Agarkar’s exit.

The meeting took place as the selectors prepare for India’s upcoming ODI series. The team management will look at the available options before finalising the squad for the New Zealand tour.

Gill will lead the Men in Blue in the five-match ODI series, which will begin on November 4. The final ODI will be held in Tauranga on November 15.
