This year’s event is the ninth edition of the T20 World Cup and it’s the biggest in terms of the number of teams featuring in the main tournament. For the first time in the competition’s history, a total of 20 teams will take part in the main tournament.
The USA and West Indies are jointly hosting the event this year. This is also the first time that the USA is hosting a major ICC event.
