Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has been appointed vice-captain of the East Zone for the Duleep Trophy.

However, earlier in the match during East Zone’s first innings, Vaibhav opened with Abhimanyu Easwaran and was dismissed for just 8 runs after facing a single over.
