From making his domestic debut as a young cricketer to earning an India call-up, Sooryavanshi has consistently stunned everyone with his performance. His aggressive approach and ability to change the game at any course of the match made his progress particularly eye-catching.

1) Youngest to score a century in men’s T20 cricket 

Sooryavanshi became the youngest ever cricketer to score a century in a men’s T20 cricket game. This major feat was achieved when he smashed a 35-ball hundred for Rajasthan Royals against Gujarat Titans in his debut IPL season in 2025. Young Sooryavanshi was just 14 years and 32 days old at the time. 

2) Most Sixes in a T20 tournament 

Sooryavanshi’s power-hitting calibre needs no introduction. It has been evident to cricket fans over the past few months. During the IPL 2026 season, he finished with 72 sixes in a single season, the most by any cricketer in the history of any T20 tournament. 

He surpassed the universe boss Chris Gayle’s previous tally of 59 sixes, which had remained a massive record since 2012. 

3) Youngest to win Player of the Series in International cricket 

Vaibhav added a major feat to his international career during India’s T20I series against Zimbabwe. This was just his second series after debut, and the young batter scored 151 runs in three innings. For his performance, he was named the player of the series. He became the youngest player to win the award in men’s international cricket. 

4) Youngest to score a century in men’s List A cricket 

The teenager was just 14 years and 272 days old when he became the youngest player to score a List A century. The historic innings was played during the 2025-26 Vijay Hazare Trophy, when he scored 190 runs off just 84 balls while playing for Bihar against Arunachal Pradesh. He reached his century in just 36 balls during that innings. 

5) Youngest to score a Duleep Trophy half-century 

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s latest addition to the tally remains his half-century from the Duleep Trophy 2026 semi-final match against Central Zone. He reached his fifty off just 42 balls before finishing at 92 in the innings. He was just 15 years and 157 days old at that time and surpassed the record formerly held by Laxman Singh for 57 years.
