Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scored a half-century off 16 deliveries in the SRH vs RR clash.
The Eliminator clash of the Indian Premier League 2026 is underway on May 27 between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to field first in the encounter.
RR opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continued his aggressive approach once again and hammered SRH bowlers all over the park from the first over itself. He hammered three consecutive sixes against Pat Cummins.
Hitting numerous sixes with the bat, he reached his half-century off just 16 deliveries. With his aggressive batting, he helped SRH score 80/0 in the powerplay.

Notably, Vaibhav has broken a massive record of Chris Gayle in the SRH vs RR clash. He now holds the record for most sixes in a single edition of IPL, having hit 65 sixes.
He has leapfrogged Gayle in the list, who hit 59 runs in the 2012 edition. Andre Russell is the third batsman who has hit more than 50 sixes in a single edition.

He etched a partnership of 125 runs with Jaiswal for the first wicket in just 8 overs. He was on the verge of breaking Gayle’s record for fastest ton in IPL history but fell just three runs short of his century.
Meanwhile, Sooryavanshi is the leading run-scorer for RR in IPL 2026, with 680 runs in 15 games. He also hammered a century against SRH in a losing cause in the league stage.
