Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has earned his national call-up in the T20I series against Ireland.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has become the biggest sensation in Indian Cricket at the moment. Over the last two years, his popularity has even surpassed some of the big stars as well.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi made a mark for the first time in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, where he became the youngest batsman to smash a century in the league’s history for Rajasthan Royals (RR), and also the fastest century by Indian in league.

Later, he impressed with his performance for his domestic team Bihar in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26.

He broke many batting records in the tournament and helped Bihar to win the Vijay Hazare Plate Round. With his brilliance, he propelled Bihar to progress to the Elite tournament for the next season.

The left-handed batsman has continued to impress with his performance in every format. India U-19 Team won the ICC Under-19 ODI World Cup by crushing England in the final and it was Sooryavanshi who scored a match-winning century and snatched the Player of the Match award.

In IPL 2026, he finished as the highest run-scorer with 776 runs and won the Orange Cap. Not only this, he also won Most Valuable Player of the Season. He played a prominent role in Rajasthan Royals’ journey to the Qualifier 2. With his impeccable and quickfire batting, he was a standout batter and won five tournament awards.

Recently, Sooryavanshi rocked once again by smacking a crucial 94-run knock for India A in the final against Sri Lanka A in the Tri-Nation Series in Sri Lanka 2026.

With the help of 8 sixes and 10 fours off 29 balls, he hammered opposition bowlers all over the park and drove the scoreboard to 337/9. Sri Lanka A gave a wonderful performance in the chase but were helpless against the big target and were bowled out for 311 runs.

Sooryavanshi’s back-to-back success and consistency forced the BCCI selectors to hand him a national call-up. He has been picked in the T20I series against Ireland and England.

However, it remains to be seen if he will get a chance to play in his first campaign against Ireland or will have to wait longer to play in the national jersey.
